Aemorniel Shelley was born and raised in the wilds of Wales, and since the age of fifteen has wandered wherever the land’s voice takes her, seldom carrying more than her music and her stories.
She attended the University of California, Berkeley, studying archaeology and the representation of the stories of past human beings. Combining the role of the storyteller in archaeology with her love for the forgotten, ancient, magical lands of Celtic legend, she seeks to inject a sense of the imaginary into the every day word, exploring the human condition in a setting of “mythic realism.”
Aemorniel has a deep love for the ocean, for the way the sun feels on her hair, for the voice of the wind in the trees, and for the way her feet feel when bare in the sand and the soil of the earth. Currently based in Los Angeles, she is learning every day how to connect with an urban landscape whose roots go far beneath the pavement and cement of its current human occupants, and whose heart beats slowly but surely in the pulse of the Pacific ocean, and the heat of the desert sands.
